Agreement Making for NTRBs
Overview Agreement Making is a two day program designed for staff involved in the negotiation of agreements for Indigenous parties. Participants will focus on the development of agreements that secure ongoing benefits for Indigenous people, both now and in the future. The program will explore the elements of successful agreements in relation to land access, cultural and heritage protection, environmental management and related economic development initiatives. Skills and knowledge gained during the program will be reinforced in exercises drawing on real-life examples. Program presenters include Robert Blowes SC, Ciaran O'Faircheallaigh and David Trigger as well as Indigenous, state and industry representatives.
