Aurora Indigenous Scholars International Study Tour application form
For those contemplating postgraduate study overseas, the Aurora Scholars’ Study Tour provides an invaluable opportunity to travel with a group of like-minded students, visit universities and meet with academics, administrators and current postgraduate students in your area of interest.
Applications for the 2016 Study Tour are now OPEN.
How to apply
Before applying, make sure you have read all the information outlined here about the Study Tour, including the information about expectations of participants and code of conduct. If you have any questions about expectations, selection criteria or the application process for the Tour please contact the International Scholarships Team on 02 9310 8428 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are 2 steps to the application process as outlined below.
Prepare the required information in the following order as a SINGLE Microsoft Word document that includes:
- A cover letter addressing your background, career aspirations and reasons for wanting to go on the Tour
- A curriculum vitae
- An official transcript of all university results (including mid-year results, if available)
- Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent through a signed statement (including common seal) from the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Heritage Association, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Corporation or Land Council of the country of your ancestors.
- A high-resolution photo (headshot preferably) that may be used in promotional material, should you be selected to go on the Study Tour.
Please ensure to clearly label and save your SINGLE Microsoft Word document as follows:surname.firstname.overseastour2016. You will then be asked to attach the SINGLE Microsoft Word document to your online application form.
You will need to arrange for three written references (two of which should be academic references) to be forwarded by your referees directly to the International Scholarships team at Aurora via email email@example.com by the closing date of 14 June 2016. See Reference Criteria for guidance.
i) Complete the online application form below
ii) At the end of the online form, attach a SINGLE Microsoft Word document which that you have prepared in Step 1
iii) When you have attached your SINGLE Microsoft Word document please click on the submit button.
iv) Confirm your three referees have forwarded written references directly to the International Scholarships team at Aurora on firstname.lastname@example.org by the 14 June 2016.
