 
NTRB Community Liaison/Field Officer Program

Overview- PLEASE NOTE THIS PROGRAM HAS ALREADY BE RUN FOR 2009
Aurora has partnered with Tranby Aboriginal College in Sydney to develop a program to support community liaison/field officers in their work. The program is designed to enable interactive and shared learning experiences and will include small group work, scenarios, role plays and the opportunity to practice new skills in a supportive environment.
The program will include the following topics identified by NTRB staff as areas of high priority:

overview of native title and agreement making |
 |
native title claims process |
 |
field officers as part of a multi-disciplinary team |
 |
working in two cultures |
 |
conflict resolution and mediation |
 |
presentation skills |
 |
running effective meetings |
 |
planning for on country meetings. |

Entry requirements
To enrol in the program you need to be currently employed by an NTRB or NTSP currently in a position of Community Liaison Officer or Field Officer, or be nominated by their executive officer.
