Overview
The 2010 Human Resources program offers opportunities for both experienced and new NTRB staff with Human Resources (HR) responsibilities to update their knowledge in key areas, develop skills through tailored workshops and share new developments and best practice in their organisations.
Topics the whole group will explore include:

new developments in federal legislation |
 |
"hot topics" – the people perspective in your NTRB, a facilitated discussion |
Participants are asked to select two of the following workshops when registering for the program (select one from each pair on your registration form):
 |
avoid reinventing the wheel – practical tips for streamlining HR systems and processes, and saving valuable time, OR |
 |
organisational communication strategies – how HR can play a role in ensuring great organisational communication |
AND
 |
recruitment – practical ideas for attracting and recruiting strong candidates, OR |
 |
staff retention – innovative ways to keep your employees motivated and committed to the organisation and its work. |
Please note this program is adjunct to the Management Development Program, however it is not necessary to attend Management Development in order to attend the Human Resources program.

Entry requirements
This program is suitable for those responsible for Human Resources functions at their NTRB or NTSP. This is a new program and is suitable for those who attended the 2008 Human Resources program as well as those who did not.
