Overview

The Project Management for NTRBs program is a three day course for NTRB staff who wish to develop project management skills that will assist them in their daily native title work. The program is designed to benefit all NTRB staff with project management responsibilities, whatever their role in the organisation or the size and nature of their project.

The program will enable participants to learn more about project management principles through a range of interactive, problem based activities and associated presentations. Participants will engage in collaborative, practical tasks that will provide opportunities for them to apply their project management knowledge and skills in a supportive learning environment.

Topics will include:
• managing the project cycle, including planning, timelines, resources and logistics
• developing committed and cohesive work teams
• developing effective communication processes, including within the organisation, with external stakeholders and over distance
• developing negotiation and conflict resolution skills for project management
• managing stakeholders effectively, including stakeholder expectations and involvement in the project
• introduction to the project management tool kit.
