Project Management*
Overview
The Project Management for Teams 2008 program aims to enable participants to develop key knowledge and skills required in their daily native title work, through a range of interactive problem based activities and associated presentations.
The program will focus on the following topics:

clarifying roles, responsibilities and functions of NTRBs & their staff |
 |
managing the project cycle, including timelines, resources and logistics |
 |
managing the project cycle, including timelines, resources and logistics |
 |
increasing efficiency in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams |
 |
management and leadership skills including negotiation, conflict resolution and financial management |
 |
managing expectations – contracts, staff, consultants and clients |
 |
overcoming the tyranny of distance – communication and coordination |
 |
introduction to the project management tool kit. |

Entry requirements
To enrol in the program you need to be currently employed by an NTRB or a NTSP. Although the program is intended for new staff, we welcome registrations from all staff.
