Understanding ILUAs

PLEASE NOTE: THIS PROGRAM HAS ALREADY BEEN RUN FOR 2009.
Overview
Understanding ILUAs – A program for NTRB legal staff is a two day practical workshop focusing on both the technical aspects of Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs) and the requirements for registration. Using practical case studies, participants will be better able to make informed decisions about whether or not to recommend the use of an ILUA, select the correct type of ILUA and manage the risks relating to the registration process.
The program is designed for legal staff at Native Title Representative Bodies (NTRBs) and Native Title Service Providers (NTSPs). Previous attendance at the Native Title Law and Practice program is desirable, but not essential.
