I’ve learnt a lot of important legal skills and got my head around some fairly complex concepts regarding native title.

Working in native title

Aurora offers various initiatives to support those who wish to undertake a career in native title.

Internships and placements

Aurora’s internship and placements program introduces anthropology, law and some social science (namely, archaeology, cultural heritage, environmental, human geography, history and sociology) students and graduates to career opportunities in native title, policy development, social justice and Indigenous affairs.

Job network

The job network lists employment opportunities available at NTRBs and at other organisations working in policy development, social justice and Indigenous affairs (including Indigenous corporations, government bodies, community groups and not-for-profit organisations).

Aurora alumni receive email updates directing them to employment opportunities as they are listed.

Native title training and PD

Once employed at an NTRB you can access training and professional development provided by Aurora. Representatives from Prescribed Bodies Corporate (PBCs) may also attend select programs.
